Barrister Rickey Tarfa, my kinda man, the man that forced Aishat Opesanwo, the presiding judge of a Lagos State High Court in Igbosere, to say "Rickey Tarfa harrasing my court with 90 SANs".


Lol. I would do similar thing, if you take me to court. I will show up with my fellow bloggers, online PRs, ICT experts, and my fellow educationists.

Not kidding anyway not when you have EFCC to face and we all know the morale with which EFCC is charging these days. Fighting corruption with they got. Do not get me wrong, the Ope Shina Brand will not engage in any shady deal.

But why is EFCC is playing Baseball with Rickey Tarfa, an astute legal practitioner?

The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, on Tuesday arraigned him on 2-count charge of obstruction of justice and attempting to pervert the course of justice.

Mr. Tarfa pleaded not guilty to both counts. Lol, were they expecting him to plead guilty?

After granting my man, Rickey Tarfa bail on self recognition and ordered that he must not travel out of the country without the permission of the court, the trial judge bemoaned the number of counsel who were in court for the defendant. She noted that there was no need for such magnitude of support as it amounts to harassment and intimidation of the court.

To me, Bar. Rickey Tarfa hit a HOME RUN here with the 90 SANs with the fact that he was granted bail on self recognition. Mind you following Mr. Tarfa plea of not guilty to both counts, the prosecution counsel for EFCC, Rotimi Oyedepo prayed the court for a trial date and to remand the defendant in custody.

Though there is this out there "Bar. Rickey Tarfa bribed Justice Yunusa with N225, 000; habitually manipulates judges" – EFCC. Well, it is an accusation yet. If the EFCC can nail him on this, then it will be a job weldone home run for them too.

Sweet home run for Rickey Tarfa... If you are familiar with Baseball, there is a quote that says "Home run hitters drive Cadillacs, and single hitters drive Fords". And I say, only a big shot SAN can bring 90 SANs into a court room when its not even the 2016 SANs Conference.
