Home Run...
Praise Adejo @Praiz8
Like a prophet I saw the future of Praiz. I saw it through
his voice the first time Cool FM Abuja (96.9) played his song "Sunshine" on 'Abuja Top 10', his new song as an upcoming act made it to the chart (I think it was on number 8). If not that I know that on 'Abuja Top 10', its strictly Abuja-base artists' songs they play, I would have conclude that the song is John Legend's new song that day due to his voice and style of R & B.
Later on, I heard the voice on MTN Project Fame and I got to see the face of that voice similar to John Legend on T.V.
Project Fame ended with Iyanya Mbuk emerging the winner ahead of Nii and Praiz. Later that year, I met Praiz, at Et-quake Studio, it was cool to be with him in the studio owned by TY Mix (produced 'Kini Big Deal' and 'Ten over Ten' for Naeto C, behind some major hits and Judge on Project Fame). Don't know if the studio still exist at the Maitama location cos TY Mix, to me is now Lagos-base producer.
Well, after that encounter... Oh, my God! I don't need to go into my prophetical state of mind to see the future. The song with Bez, 'Stupid Song' was and still a classic hit. The international collabo with 'Shy Girl' crooner Diana King on his song 'Mercy' remix was something out of ordinary, 'Sisi' with Wizkid, 'Rich and Famous' all sweet songs from Praiz.
Ok, I guess you know by now he is one sweet home run hitter in the industry with classic songs like.
Praiz, earlier this month got Feb 6 named after him in the U. S.by the Governor of Minnesota, Mark Dayton. Feb 6 was declared 'Praise Adejo Day' in a foreign land. Can you beat that?
Tell me people, is this not a cute home run? This came two years after his vacation turned tour in the state.
Well, Praiz got his day ahead of Kevin Hart.
Weldone Praiz, greater heights bro.
