#WhatiThink with Styla (Quantity or Quality Reading?)

Quantity or Quality Reading?

Let's admit it, reading has never been for the dependant mind. If it was an easy task, every walking being, would certainly, be at some high level of intellectual independence.
Not to beat around the bush with irrelevant points, as to why reading is a very essential tool, in nurturing ones capability of actually describing in adept  details, matters, issues and in general arguments to the understanding of the majority of listeners and readers.

I as a writer, for a long time gone now in the past, was guilty of tossing away, every piece of literature handed to me to read. Not that they don't interest me, the few I could muster the strength to peruse, always worth the efforts. And in turn I always had this growth intellectually. In my case, laziness was working me, not that I don't like what I gained from it.

Talking about now, you just don't pick up any book, and start reading, what Mr A likes, Mr B might not like it. I would always go for quality. I think quality reading has got a much lasting effect on the reader than quantity reading. I like re-reading stuffs. I Must admit, honestly its boring doing so, but, on the long run you'd always be in control. So many people boast of having read a lot stuffs, but can only remember the names of the writer, and sometimes a three line summary of what they had actually read, not been able to come out with a truly convincing detailed explanation of stuffs he or she had read, but flashes only.

I also think, it never should be about the numbers, but about the much of what you can remember after all that time give away - reading is a time consumer.

So when you set out to give your time away, best be it that you do it wisely, you are not in a competition.

What do you think?
